The Area Manager for Public Health is responsible for growing the business of Public Health product lines in the assigned area within Southern Africa (Malawi, Mozambique, Angola and Zimbabwe). The position reports to the Regional Director, Public Health Africa.
Key Responsibilities include-
Meet sales targets outlined in the annual budget and business plan for each product in the assigned countries
Meet government entities on a regular basis to promote and advocate Company’s portfolio
Identify, evaluate and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and other Public Health entities on a regular basis to promote and sell Company’s portfolio
Conceptualize, prepare and present to the Regional Director annual business plans for key customers
Provide timely response to customers’ quote requests and process orders inquiries
Handle customer complaints
Ensure timely payment of debts within the agreed payment or credit period
Responsible for recruitment, training, development, maintenance, focus and appraisal of Agents with monthly reports in their respective countries of responsibility
Maintain awareness and current status of competitor products

In some cases, support trials that are being done either by HQ or by country for product registration and work with local research agencies for trials of products for new diseases

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent
Additional degree / diploma in Public Health related discipline (an added advantage)
5 – 8 years’ experience in sales and key account management in Public Health / pharmaceutical area
Fluency in written and spoken English, Portuguese knowledge is a considerable advantage
Extensive travel required
