The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya which is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network.
The hospital is part of a network of health facilities in East Africa which include: Clinics, Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa, Aga Khan Hospital Dar es salaam and Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi.
It provides medical care to the population of western Kenya region and works with leading clinicians in the country in the management of complex cases.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, ISO 15189:2007 accreditation for laboratory services and is moving towards Joint Commission International Accreditation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general food production, therapeutic diets, maintenance of hygienic environment in the Catering Department.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing meals as per the set policies and procedures.
Ensure the implementation and practice of the HACCP hygiene management system within the kitchen.
Ensuring provision of timely meals as per the set time schedules.
Production of cost effective and well balanced menus to meet changing client’s needs.
Estimating food consumption to avoid under or over production for cost effectiveness.
Ensure sound maintenance and use of machines or equipment through timely reporting of faults.
Avoiding wastage by deploying and using resources optimally and apply stock controls.
Ensure Superior Customer Experience to all internal and external clients.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
Diploma in food production.
Minimum two years working experience in a similar institution.
Excellent PR and communication skills.
