We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Network Engineering Departmentwithin the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:
Reporting to the Senior Manager-Access Network Rollout, the position holder will supervise construction of Safaricom sites within specified time, quality standards and allocated CAPEX budget.

Reporting to the Senior Manager-Access Network Rollout, the position holder will supervise construction of Safaricom sites within specified time, quality standards and allocated CAPEX budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead role on site surveys (MSVs);
- Develop cost effective site designs that conform to Safaricom specifications;
- Ensure timely delivery, approval and issuance of accurate site drawings and design packs;
- Ensure completion of site construction and installation projects within PAP/project timelines;
- Enforce compliance to occupational health and safety standards by all project team members including casuals;
- Conduct regular site visits/ supervision to ensure compliance to Safaricom quality standards;
- Carry out all required acceptance tests on relevant site installations;
- Ensure timely acceptance of all assigned sites/projects as per Safaricom quality standards;
- Ensure availability of accurate and up-to-date site/project documents and database information;
- Conduct recovery of decommissioned sites within PAP/project timelines.
Role requirements;
- A University Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent;
- At least 4 years construction experience;
- At least 2 years construction experience on GSM related projects;
- Project Management qualification is an added advantage.
