FEMMES AFRICA SOLIDARITE (FAS), an NGO working to enhance women’s roles in peace building and conflict resolution on the African continent, in collaboration with the Swiss Foundation, offers a unique Fellowship opportunity to a young African woman or man looking to gain International experience in the fields of gender, peace and development.
THE WANJIRU KIHORO FELLOWSHIP will offer the candidate the opportunity to work for a period of 9 months at FAS’ International Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland before returning to put their skills into action through an additional 3 month placement with an FAS partners’ NGO in Africa.
Applicants should have a degree, or be currently undertaking studies, in a field relevant to the position (gender; development; international relations), or have substantial work experience in this area in an NGO environment.
THE WANJIRU KIHORO FELLOWSHIP IS FULLY FUNDED, PROVIDING ROUNDTRIP AIRFARE TO GENEVA AND LIVING EXPENSES FOR 9 MONTHS AND LIVING EXPENSES IN THE FIELD FOR 3 MONTHS.
