This is a volunteer assignment under the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, an Australian Government initiative. Airfares, living allowances, accommodation, insurance and other support is provided through the program.
The Omega Foundation is a local non-governmental organisation. Established in 1997, the Foundation promotes health and builds livelihoods support systems, with a major focus on community health response.
The Foundation works to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goal to ‘Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger by 2015’.
An AVID volunteer has been requested to help design and deliver high-quality food security and livelihood interventions that reduce child hunger and malnutrition, both chronic and acute.
How to apply:
To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years and over, Australian citizens or permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens with Special Category Visas.
