NCA works from a holistic perspective, including service delivery, mobilisation and advocacy in all programmes, and has long term experience from working towards reduction of gender based violence (GBV) in humanitarian response and long term development.
NCA is looking for an external individual researcher/consultant to conduct an advocacy mapping on efforts to reduce GBV in Great Lakes and Eastern Africa.
The main purpose of the mapping is to provide NCA with a sound basis for developing an effective advocacy strategy, including prioritized recommendations for focus areas and location, for the programme "Reduction of GBV in conflict and post conflict settings".

Qualifications
- Fluent in English and preferably in French
- Relevant academic background
- Experience of carrying out assessments/analysis and providing recommendations for programme development
- Well documented knowledge of and experience from working with gender justice and specifically GBV, preferably in a conflict/post-conflict setting
- Experience from working on advocacy aspects of programs
- Knowledge and experience from Eastern Africa region
- Knowledge of and experience from working with civil society actors including Faith Based Organisations
