Vacancy: CCTV,Digital Radio and Under Vehicle Technicians
Job Purpose: Monitoring the CCTV, Digital radio and Under Vehicle inspection systems to ensure uptime and system reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring the CCTV, Digital radio and under vehicle inspection system to ensure uptime including reporting system availability for the systems.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Cameras, NVRs, CCTV network and servers including electrical cabling.
User support for control room attendants where necessary on issues related to Video Management system and Radio control systems.
Supporting Under vehicle inspection system components including database administration and backup.
Liaising with system vendors for replacement of faulty parts and maintenance
Installation and configuration of additional cameras where necessary.
Setting up Digital Radio handheld devices for users
Training control room operations team on CCTV and radio control operationsQualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
Bsc or Higher National Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering
Bsc in Information Technology
CCNA or equivalent certification in networking or good experience in ICT networking environment
At least 1 year experience in installation and maintenance of CCTV Systems
Experience in Digital radio systems will be an added advantage.
Must be proficient in computer applications including Windows operating system.
Must be willing to work on a 24 hour shift arrangementKey Skills
Demonstrate interest in emerging technologies and how technology can be applied to deliver sustainable/cost effective security solutions.
Evidence of working knowledge of the following technical areas with specific focus on security systems maintenance and supporting systems infrastructure/technologies:1. Check point X-Ray security screening Equipment
2. Data/Voice services;
3. Wireless communication technologies (VHF or TETRA Radio systems);
4. Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control).
5. Data Networks (Routing/ Switching/ Firewalls), Computer LAN (IP/Ethernet- Server client environment) and IT Image archiving, retrieval storage technologies
Effective use of Collaboration Tools (e.g. Video management systems, Voice/Video Conferencing, Remote systems access, central integrated system monitoring etc.)
