The National AIDS Control Council (NACC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Health.
We are seeking to recruit suitable and motivated individuals to fill the following key position:
Head, Technical Support Services
Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Medical, Clinical or relevant Health Services.
A Masters degree in Biological Sciences, Social Sciences Statistics, Biostatistics, Medical Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Research, Health Sciences or demography or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least 5 years experience in HIV programming
Minimum of 5 years experience in middle level management or above
Proficiency in ICTKey Competencies
Understanding of HIV and AIDS their implications and interactions with health services in Kenya and their analysis
Good advocacy, negotiating and diplomatic skills;
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills Capacity to guide HIV and AIDS policies, planning and implementation.
Understanding of Health and Community systems
Decision making, problem solving, performance monitoring, planning and organizational skills
Leadership, strategic management and result based management skillsDuties and Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure the timely execution of all HIV programs and activities
Manage technically sound program work plan consistent with the goals and objectives of the programs
Regional initiatives aspects of HIV Prevention, Care and treatment
Responsible for delivery of technical aspects of HIV prevention beyond health section.
Responsible for delivery of sector specific HIV results.
Responsible for development and coordination of technical support services to County Governments for the HIV response. The successful candidates will be offered a three (3) year renewable contract.Application
