The International Rescue Committee has been working in Somalia since 2006, providing essential services to conflict and disaster affected communities. The IRC has been operational in Central Somalia (Mudug and Galgadud regions) and Mogadishu implementing interventions in the areas of Livelihood, WASH and Health reaching out to more than 200,000 conflict and drought affected people.
SCOPE OF WORK
Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Intern will be responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Manager in Logistics and Procurement.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the Supply Chain Manager in Logistics and Procurement documentation.
· Enter PR data in prolog on receipt of PR’s.
· Printing and sending of RFQ’s to suppliers.
· Enter RFQ responses in prolog preparation and submission of PRF.
· Make copies of all finalized procurement documents for a PR and file the same as per grant.
· Assist the Supply Chain Officer in receiving deliveries and preparation of a delivery report.
· Assist the Supply Chain Officer in dispatching consignment/s to the field location, preparing waybills and packing list.
· Follow up with field locations for receipt of the items and submission of signed waybills and packing lists from the field.
· Undertake market survey and file price guide/catalogs/products technical information to be used by the office for budgetary and ordering purposes are maintained.
· Filing of vehicle, asset and inventory documents.
· Processing payment far taxis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor degree in Supply Chain/ Business Management and any other relevant field.
· Diploma in Supply Chain/ Chartered Institute of purchasing.
· Good Computer skills (Word, Excel)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

· Ability to prioritize work.
· A good planner.
· Good communication skills
