Reinsurance & Underwriting Assistant Life
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Group Life Underwriting and Reinsurance , the jobholder will be responsible for Preparation and maintainance of Group Life and Ordinary life reinsurance schedules on both a monthly and quarterly basis and calculation of risks to be ceded to respective reinsurance companies together with the corresponding premiums.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all policies that require reinsurance have been advised to the reinsurer on time.
Ensure that all reinsurance processes are timely done at the end of every quarter.
Ensure medicals are well scanned into fortis.
Preparation of monthly and quarterly reinsurance accounts.
Prepare monthly ordinary life valuation and sends to finance department.
Give quotations for individual mortgages whenever there is request for such.
Communicating to insurance brokers on underwriting decisions that have been concluded.Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
A degree from recognized university – BCom (Insurance)/ a degree in Actuarial science with a desire to grow in insurance operations.
Progress in professional studies such as actuarial qualification, ACII/LOMA/AIIK would be desirable.
Computer knowledge – MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS- Access
