We are seeking to recruit performance driven professionals for the following positions as advertised in the Daily Nation on 01/08/2014:-

1. Territory Manager

The job holder will be responsible for the management and supervision of the allocated territory. 
Reporting to the Network Regional Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:- 
  • Oversee the operation of the retail stations so as to deliver sales objectives for the allocated territory, 
  • Guide station dealers in improving their economic and commercial performances
  •  Analyze the assigned territory to determine changing trends in customer needs, volume potential, competition and develop necessary proposals
  • Ensuring provision of quality services and maintaining high standards of Hygiene/Environment/Safety of property and of persons.
  • Retaining and developing the Fuel Card portfolio clients.
  • Proposing and implementing actions plans required for optimizing results
  • Conducting management controls for stations
 Qualifications, competencies and experience
  • Bachelors Degree in business studies with a penchant for marketing
  • Intellectually curious and a self starter
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, organizational and public relations skills
  • Ability to prioritize, autonomy, firm approach & customer-oriented mindset
  • Creative thinker and ability to lead a team
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years working experience in territory management in a commercial environment with a proven track record of success
  • Valid Driving License as the job will involve regular field travel

2. Depot Manager 

The job holder will be responsible for Managing Depot Operations and Resources to ensure that all customer orders are serviced on time, record of stock movements in the entire process is documented accurately and enforcement of Company safety procedures for all the Depot Operations.
Reporting to the Depots & Dispatch Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:- 
  • Timely servicing of  all customer orders and ensuring accuracy of the documentation as per company guidelines
  • Preparation of operational reports and reconciliations within the company set deadlines for decision making purposes
  • Implementing and overseeing proper inspection of delivery trucks for all products
  • Overseeing clean, safe and timely delivery of orders as per the Company’s guidelines
  • Liaising with the Pipe Coordinator on stocks and product allocations
  • Supervising, developing and managing depot staff
  • Enforcing compliance of the company’s HSEQ standards at the Depot level by Depot Staff
  • Ensuring availability, accuracy and renewal of all necessary documentation for Depot operations
 Qualifications, competencies and experience 
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering field
  • Sound knowledge in depot operations and HSEQ awareness
  • Intellectually curious and a self starter
  • Team Leader with good people management skills
  • Multi-skilled team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Working experience in Depot Operations will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years working experience

3. Tax Specialist 

The job holder will be responsible for Tax optimization in terms of tax payments and recovery, follow up of VAT refunds, coordination of Tax Audits and Bond Management as per the tax guidelines.
The incumbent shall be responsible for the following:-
  • Provision of Tax advice across the Business on tax treatment of all relevant items and ensuring staff companywide are equipped with the necessary skills to adhere to tax regulations
  • Creating and maintaining relations with the relevant Kenya Revenue Authorities (KRA) and other statutory bodies to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitoring and interpreting Tax developments impacting Business and provision of expert solutions to management to facilitate decision making
  • Ensuring zero tax exposure and optimal tax procedures
  • Coordinating Tax refunds for both Domestic and customs
  • Active involvement in Bonds Management
  • Reviewing and ensuring generation of accurate and timely tax reports and returns
  • Ensuring accurate and timely tax payments
Qualifications competencies and experience 
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance / Accounting or Business Administration
  • Accounting qualification CPA (K) or ACCA / equivalent  
  • Consultancy and operations exposure
  • Intellectually curious and a self starter
  • Multi-skilled team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions, paying special attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills
  • A minimum of five (5) year’s working experience in a busy accounting/tax environment

4. Health Environment & Safety Specialist 

The job holder will be responsible for managing compliance to Safety Management Systems, spearheading Emergency Response at the plant and ensure safe operations through projects and routine maintenance works.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:-
  • Spearheading the application of knowledge on Industrial processes, mechanic, chemistry, industrial psychology and Industrial Health & Safety Laws in an Industrial plant setting
  • Ensuring compliance of Safety laws, regulations, codes, specialized safety procedures and standards are complied with
  • Managing Loss Control in the Plant
  • Spearheading the implementation and compliance of Safety Management Systems
  • Representing the Plant at External and Internal Joint Safety and Health forums and committees
  • Liaising with Local Authorities on safety and environmental matters
  • Spearheading Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness strategies at the Plant
  • Managing all safety aspects of project development, execution and commissioning
 Qualifications, competencies and experience 
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Professional qualification in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
  • Team leader with good people management skills
  • Multi-skilled team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Intellectually curious and a self starter
  • High safety awareness and excellent crisis management and emergency responsiveness skills
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years working experience in an Industry safety environment
