IT and Data Specialist

The USAID-funded Kenya Afya Jijini (Nairobi) Program will look to strengthen health and human capacity and increase overall health services through the expansion of quality HIV/AIDS services, focused Maternal, Newborn, Child Health (MNCH); Family Planning (FP); increasing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); and Nutrition services and finally by strengthening County Health Systems. The IT and Data Specialist will provide overall support and advice, implementation and management of all computer systems, hardware and software. These duties may include maintenance of systems, training personnel, helpdesk support, and tracking of data for the projects.
Duties:
· Maintain the Software and Hardware for the office
· IT Management
· IT Support and helpdesk
· Personnel training on software
· Track data for the projects
The position requires a competent and experienced person with the following attributes:
· IT technical training with a minimum of three years IT experience in the field
· Strong background in maintenance and implementation of hardware and software.
· A working knowledge and prior experience with USAID
· Fluency in English in both oral and written communication.
· Regional experience and experience in the Kenyan country context strongly preferred.
· Ability to travel within the country as needed.
