At ActionAid International we help people to use their own power to fight poverty and injustice. Because that’s how real change happens – for women, for communities, for whole societies. We are now recruiting a Campaigns Mobilisation Manager to lead our online and offline campaign mobilisation strategies to help win change on our ambitious and bold campaigning agenda
As Campaigns Mobilisation Manager you will support ActionAid Federation countries and strategic members around the world to build their supporter bases by developing compelling and innovative online and offline supporter mobilisation plans. Importantly you will ensure we engage youth audiences in all our multi-country campaigns. You will get to understand the values and motivations of potential supporters and ensure this knowledge is used to strengthen the effectiveness of our activities. Working closely with communication and fundraising teams as well as external supplier partners you will make sure our public campaigning is clear and inspiring, and raises our profile. You will lead on building our campaigning ‘signature’. You will also ensure that mobilisation targets are met, and that we continually improve our campaigning effectiveness and practice and remain adept to changes in the external world. You will build networks with relevant external partners, networks and organisations we work alongside to achieve our goals.
You must have a relevant degree or equivalent experience and have excellent written and spoken English. You will have substantial campaigning experience, ideally on an international level and gained in implementation and strategic roles. You will have been involved in developing and implementing marketing, behaviour and policy change or political campaign communications strategies. In addition you will have managed international public mobilisation or engagement initiatives both online and offline. An effective manager, you can communicate at all levels and enjoy working in a collaborative way in a multi-cultural context. You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of human rights and women’s rights issues, as well as development debates and relevant international institutions and processes.
