Sales and Marketing Executive at United Biscuits - Kenya

At United Biscuits we have ambitious growth plans within Kenya and we are looking for a sales and marketing executive to lead the on the ground activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join United Biscuits who is achieving signifcant growth in the area and establish world class best practise within the region with Sales, Marketing and Logistic. You will be supported by aan International team and take pride in being able to really develop the landscape of United Biscuits within Kenya.

•Engage with distributors to ensure all forecast are done accurately and timely.
•Support Distributor with Route to market development, identify distribution gap, and ensure market coverage across the chosen Channels
•Liaise with Distributors to ensure customer service delivery is within UB best practice standard.
•Identify optimal range, identify new NPD opportunities and support Distributors in new product listing across the channels.
•Ensure consistency in pricing strategy and monitor price positions across the segments/Markets.
•Liaise with distributor/retailer to develop category management to grow brand visibility at Point of Purchase.
•Develop Key Accounts Joint business plans and liaise with both distributor and retailers to ensure all activities are implemented on schedule.
•Develop and execute aggressive in-market trade marketing plans
•Identify growth opportunities and make recommendation on how to tap into new growth areas
•Report on competitive activities and make necessary recommendation
•Liaise with UB Regional Manager and Distributors, Logistics, Finance & Admin Managers to ensure all necessary plans and actions are in place to drive revenue growth.
•Put tools and measure in place to track & analyze the IMS performance
•Represent UB interest in market place within best practice, with the distributors, third parties and general public

Desired Skills and Experience

•Hold University Degree preferably in Business Administration
•At least three years Sales and Marketing experience preferably in FMCG in Kenya
•Past experience dealing with Key Accounts and/or General Trade
•Should have strong personality with ‘go getter’ altitude
•Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
•Computer literate especially Microsoft Excel & Power Point
•Willing to travel within Kenya and occasionally within East Africa,( Uganda, Tanzania & Ethiopia)
