Reporting to the Assistant Engineer- Plant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
Supervising of staff involved in repair and maintenance works on building and other civil infrastructure.
Ensuring work carried out by contractors meet the required specifications.
Supervising repair, maintenance, building, civil and furniture works.
Preparing bill of quantities for repairs on building, roads, walkways and related areas.
Maintaining all building and civil works drawings.
Preparing specifications for materials required for civil works.
Carrying out routine hospital inspection to identify urgent needs on repairs and maintenance on civil, building, painting and furniture works.
Periodic inspection of buildings and civil infrastructure to ensure they are in safe and good state.
Training and developing staff in the section on areas of civil works.
Making proposals for improvements on buildings and civil infrastructure.Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Diploma in Building and Construction or Civil Engineering.
At least 2 years at supervisory role in a service environment.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
