Project Manager, Mogadishu

Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) is an African-led, regional organisation, working in Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia with Board approval to expand to Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi. It brings over 25 years’ experience working with communities in conflict and post-conflict situations, including refugees, internally displaced people, host communities and communities in urban slums.
AAH-I is looking for a suitable candidate who, will be responsible for ensuring effective management and delivery of the Mogadishu Warehouse project, including preparation of donor and client reports and support to further fundraising for complementary activities. S/he will in particular be responsible for driving AAH Somalia’s strategy in Mogadishu in line with the Mission, Vision and Values, the AAH-I Strategic Plan 2014–18 and the Country Programme Strategy 2016–18. Qualification
·A University Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Health Promotion/Education or Public Health).
· 3 to 4 years planning and/or management experience (specific experience in logistics & warehouse management required).
Skills and Competence
· Experience in the humanitarian sector, in particular working with UNHCR as a funding partner.
· Simple accounting and data base management
· A strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills, self-directed, ability to work with a high degree of autonomy as well as part of a team.
· Values diversity and contributes to an inclusive working environment where differences are acknowledged and respected.
· A deep understanding of the context in Mogadishu/South Central Somalia
· Good computer skills on MS Office programmes, especially in MS Excel
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Good spoken and written English language. (Knowledge of Somali language would be an advantage).
· A clear understanding of procurement and administration procedures.
