The Programme Coordinator (PC) will provide support to the implementation of the Jamii Thabiti Programme ensuring that the three components of the Programme (Policing, Peace and Violence against Women and Girls) are well integrated within the programme. The PC will work with the Deputy Team Leader (technical), Chief of Party and the programme team to ensure smooth implementation of the three areas of the programme at national and county levels.

Specific requirements
- Coordinate the three components of the Jamii Thabiti Programme ensuring they are in line with the work plans and agreed milestones
- Support the development of partnerships (identifying and on-boarding of implementing partners) and recruitment of Panel of Experts (PoEs).
- Supervise engagement with Jamii Thabiti implementing partners and PoEs in supporting the implementation of the Programme
- Coordinate reporting aspects of the programme ensuring programme reports are received in time and are relevant to the commitments of Jamii Thabiti.
- Provide supervisory role in programme implementation at the county level to ensure quality control
- Provide strategic inputs into a thematic areas of the programme
- Coordinate programme review meetings internally and with the partners
- Support the Jamii Thabiti technical team in programme development and internal review of documents including work plans, donor reports, budgets, research and case studies.
General requirements
- Adhere to all security advice from Coffey's Risk Management Team.

- Submit all technical outputs for peer review prior to client submission in accordance with Coffey International Development's quality assurance procedures.
- Report in advance possible resourcing decisions and/or any procurement to the Programme Manager to ensure all programme costs are properly supported within the Jamii Thabiti budget.
- Engage in the activities of the Programme Management Team and contribute to the progression of the programme, to ensure delivery of project outputs and outcomes in line with Jamii Thabiti's log-frame. This will involve routine whole-of-project meetings (each week) to undertake detailed review of progress against the log-frame, adjusting workplans and resourcing on an on-going basis to remain on track.
- Undertake other activities reasonably requested by the Programme Manager, Programme Management Team or by the client (DFID) for the successful accomplishment of the programme's immediate objectives.

- Some travel and out of hours work may be required.
- Any other duties as may be required for the exigency of the programme.
The Person
Qualifications and experience required:
- Masters degree in Social Science or relevant subject
- Minimum five years practical experience in programme coordination/implementation in a large international non-governmental organisation or equivalent;
- Background of practical experience implementing justice and security related programmes in Kenya with partners
- Practical knowledge of Justice and Security current thematic issues and debates in the Kenyan context, and of the major institutional donors such as DFID.
