    1. Chief Security Officer, Region

    Reporting to Regional Manager, the Chief Security Officer, Region, will be in charge of securing and safeguarding company assets and resources in the respective Region.
    The keys tasks of the position are as indicated hereunder;
  • Overseeing implementation of security measures and regulations by employees and customers in the Region.
  • Safeguarding security of Company assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage.
  • Liaising with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of security services
  • Sensitizing internal and external customers on matters of general security, crime prevention and fraud control.
  • Supervising contracted and seconded security personnel to ensure value for money.
  • Undertaking security intelligence surveys and recommending necessary interventions.
  • Undertaking investigations of motor accidents involving Company vehicles and taking the necessary actions.
  • Evaluating changes to the regional security environment for impact and presenting findings to regional management.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and making recommendations to management.
  • Coordinating investigations on all acts of crime or any losses incurred against the Company and taking necessary action.
  • Implementing strategies on business continuity planning, privacy, loss prevention and fraud prevention.
  • Overseeing and coordinating security efforts across the region including Information Technology, Human Resources, Communications and facilities management.Appointment Requirements

    Reporting to the Manager, Enablement & Operational Excellence, the Chief Officer, Regions & Business Partnering will be responsible for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of regional supply chain operations. The key responsibilities for this position are; -
  • Coordinating the supply chain functions in the Regions for both technical and non-technical works to ensure service excellence for the whole Company.
  • Participating in strategy development for the Supply Chain Division by giving information and suggestions touching on Regional supply chain operations.
  • Providing feedback on the policies and procedures, with a view of refining by management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Providing reports on Regional performance on supply chain roles.
  • Ensuring compliance to the Procurement Act, policies and procedures in the Regions.
  • Facilitating e-procurement for the Regions to ensure value for money for the Company through enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of e-procurement.

    Reporting to Regional Security Officer, the Senior Security Officer will ensure provision and management of security services as per approved standards in the region.

  • Interpreting and implementing policies, standards norms and procedures pertaining to the security function.
  • Participating in implementation of security and safety measures in the region.
  • Carrying out prevention and investigation of fraud and theft cases in the region as per laid down procedures.
  • Conducting investigations on criminal cases and presenting them to police for appropriate action.
  • Safeguarding security of Sub Region assets against theft, pilferage, damage, misuse or sabotage.
  • Participating in conducting investigations of Motor-vehicle accidents and recommending ways of reducing them.
  • Liaising with law enforcement agencies to ensure effective execution of Region Security functions.
  • Supervising contracted security guards manning Sub Region installations and premises.

    Reporting to the Manager, Human Resource Services the Principal Medicare Officer will facilitate effective administration of the Company Medical Scheme within the approved budget.
    The keys tasks of the position are as indicated hereunder;
  • Implementing Company policies pertaining to occupational health, safety and environmental management in order to contain staff Medicare costs.
  • Verifying medical invoices to ensure they are within the Company guidelines.
  • Ensuring that the staff get high quality healthcare at cost effective prices.
  • Maintaining an up to date list of Company doctors and hospitals country wide.
  • Monitoring and implementing the Company Medicare budget.
  • Advising Company doctors and hospitals on the Company’s Medicare policy and procedures.
  • Advising and counselling staff on personal issues relating to medical scheme including cost effective management of medical entitlement.
  • Recommending appointment of applicants to the Company panel of healthcare providers.

  • Conducting valuation of properties.

    Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary, the Manager, Security Services will be responsible for ensuring provision of effective security services to protect Company assets.
    The key responsibilities for this position are;
  • Implementing strategies on security management, crime prevention, investigations and prosecutions.
  • Advising Management on appropriate security measures and standards on security of Company assets.
  • Protecting company assets against theft, terrorism, pilferage, damage, misuse, sabotage or other harmful causes.
  • Implementing security measures to ensure maximum protection of company installations, property, revenue and staff.
  • Directing investigations into security irregularities, potential threats and taking remedial action to protect company interest.
  • Establishing and maintaining linkages with law enforcement agencies to enhance company security.
  • Collecting and collating intelligence on current trends in crime and other security matters that could adversely affect the company.
