Extension Service Specialist - Senior expert
With at least 10 years of experience in extension services. The expert should have recent experience with the development and the evaluation of extension service schemes both provided by the private sector as part of contract farming arrangement and by public administration, preferably both in the crop and livestock sectors. Experience in Arid and Semi-Arid areas (ASAL) and knowledge of pastoralism and drought risk reduction (DRR) related issues is an asset.
The senior expert should also have a sound experience in the agriculture sector related to market integration, investment and value chain development.
Additional Requirements:
· The expert must have degree or master degree relevant to the expertise.
· The expert must be perfectly fluent in English.
· At least one of the three team members must have English as their mother tongue and must ensure the complete editing of the report to international standard.
· At least one of the team members must have a recent and specific experience and knowledge of the most relevant stakeholders in the sector in Kenya, such as: Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries, County governments, Lead private sector organisations (including in the agricultural finance sector), and other relevant stakeholders in Kenya.
