Position: MFS Regional Manager – East
Region: East, North-east, Coast

Role Purpose: The position will be creating the distribution strategy and implementing it into the Eastern region, including the Eastern, North-Eastern and Coast territories.
The Regional Manager is responsible for delivering agency network targets through effective acquisition and management of mobile money agents, merchants and business accounts within the East region.
The Regional Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the territory managers and Trade Distribution mangers in the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of agents & Merchants, targeting key organizations and institutions as well as top performing mobile money outlets and high traffic retails stores. Recruit and manage relationships for Banks, financial institutions, chain stores and other business with national outreach.
The Regional manager will be responsible for the full distribution P&L within the region.
Ensure that the Agent Network in the Region is managed by the Distribution team through identifying & troubleshooting poorly performing outlets.
Ensure all agents operate at their agreed levels, as per key agent indicators; i.e. enough float, registrations and transactions.
Facilitate the regular training for agents and agent staff and consumer training through road shows, trade fairs & targeted events.
Formulate and develop sales strategies and executed to facilitate growth
Implemented distribution strategy for the region.
Instigate and implement distribution incentives to trade partners
Ensuring POS & merchandising material is effectively applied. Manage the distribution of the materials for the entire regional team ensuring all materials are tracked and accounted for.
Ensure Achievement of set Revenue and Agent/merchant acquisition targets through attainment of agent support & strategy implementation, i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually.
Reporting weekly/ monthly/ quarterly & annual operational and management reports on revenue & completed ongoing and planned activities.
Ensure that Agents within the region comply with all standards and adhere to all the MFS Policies & Procedures, at all levels (staff / shops / Stock / Finances / Reports etc.)
Implement regular Agent visits and Audits ensuring all of the team is seen within a monthly rotation.
Develop Policies and Procedures and regularly review existing ones.
Communicate to the Agents regularly via Trade Bulletins ensuring that they are always updated.
Drive personal training and development of the regional team.
Work with Speed Simplicity and Trust.
Manage team of Territory Supervisors and outsourced Trade Development Representatives (TDR) to achieve agent and merchant acquisition targets
Establish KPI’s and monitor performance of TeamAcademic / Professional Qualifications
At least 5 years’ experience in sales or marketing role in a corporate multinational environment with an outstanding sales performance record.
Degree in Marketing, Commerce or Accounting
Training in sales management, customer relationship management, business administration and team building courses, will be advantageous.
Good understanding of financial principles, understands financial ratios, can interpret standard financial statements.
Experience in and Knowledge of Telecoms industry (advantage).
Driving license is a necessity.Professional Skills:
