Overall Purpose of Job
The main objective of this role will be to support the InterHealth East Africa Training team to deliver training in an effective and seamless way. You will be involved in various aspects of training including the planning of workshops, marketing & promotion, logistical support and follow up with delegates.

Summary of main responsibilities and tasks
Training Delivery Support
- Assist in the design and production of training workbooks.
- Training venue booking and quality assurance.
- Document learning from InterHealth’s training using Salesforce client management system.
Training Business Development support
- You will be involved in training marketing and proposal writing for clients.
- Work together with the Global training manager to assess the needs of clients and come up with better ways to support them
- Assist in the development of a monthly training newsletter
Travel Logistics support
- You will be involved in visa acquisition for various destinations and documenting the visa acquisition process for destinations frequented by InterHealth East Africa trainers and staff.
- You will assist in getting flights for Staff.
- You will coordinate the travel by taxi for training staff and associates.
Person Specification
- You will be passionate about events, conferences and training, seeing them through from conception to delivery and take pride in the process as well as the end result.
- You will be passionate about making a difference in the charity sector and will be able to commit and adapt to an organisation which is value driven according to our mission. You will preferably have experience in, or demonstrated commitment to, the charity sector.
- You will demonstrate flexibility in thinking, approaching problems and managing workloads, understanding the pressures of both colleagues and clients
- You will be a quick learner and have the capabilities of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A snapshot into the role
Had you joined the InterHealth team last week, here are some of the projects you would have participated in, include:
- Assisted in getting visas for 2 staff members travelling to South Sudan.
- Contributed to the training newsletter for June.
- Participated in a weekly training meeting to coordinate upcoming events
- Participated in a training on Kidnap Avoidance and Hostage Survival
- Responded to client enquiries about training
