Under the direct supervision of the Centre Manager, the incumbent will carry out the following functions:
· Develop a curriculum for the specific skills with the support of the Centre Manager and provide training.
· Determine beneficiaries’’ progress and work on an exit strategy that allows them to earn a livelihood (in case of reintegration) and to provide for themselves and their dependants/significant others.
· Prepare periodic and progress reports on the above mentioned training services
Requirements
Education – Completion of a college diploma in the relevant field
Experience
MUST have 2-3 years of experience as a trainer in the relevant field
Experience in livelihood basic trade skills e.g. crocheting, beadwork, basketry, mat making is an added advantage
Skills and competencies:
· Computer literacy
· Good knowledge of human rights doctrine and working experience with refugees and displaced persons;
· Experience in capacity building including facilitation of community-based training and awareness raising;
· Good facilitation skills,
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Languages:
Proficiency in English and Swahili, knowledge of French is an added advantage
