Job description
Deliverables:
- Monitor, analyze and synthesize developments, press clippings and reports with regards to Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Yemen and Eritrea;
- Research, collect, analyze and edit information related to evidence of sustained returns in the Voluntary Kenya-Somalia Returns programme;
- Develop a policy brief with review of practices in Kenya and Somalia in relation to the sustainable returns for refugees;
- Support protection analysis at Dadaab Refugee Camp where NRC is operational to collect first-hand information in relation to the returns;
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- A Kenyan Citizen
- First Degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Law, Development or Humanitarian Studies

- Ability to develop basic briefs on humanitarian situations in the Horn of Africa region

We offer
- Duty station: Nairobi
- Contract commencement is early February 2016 until end of July 2016.
- Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s general directions, The candidate will observe NRC’s code of conduct and working hours for the NRC Office in Nairobi.
