Institutional ProfileThe Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) is a Flagship University located in Mombasa County, set along the expansive shores of the beautiful and magnificent Indian Ocean and overlooking the famous Tudor Creek.
The University, which boasts of unique architecture depicting the rich historical influences and developments of the region, has transformed from Mombasa Institute of Muslim Education in 1948; Mombasa Technical Institute in 1966; Mombasa Polytechnic in 1972; Mombasa Polytechnic University College in 2007; and finally its current status in 2013. Requirements
Must either possess a PhD in Social Sciences/Business Studies from an accredited and recognized university.
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience as Deputy Registrar at Grade 14 OR comparable position.
Must possess relevant professional qualifications. Must be affiliated to a relevant professional body.
Must be Computer Literate. OR Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Business Studies.
Must have at least seven (7) years’ experience as Deputy Registrar at grade 14 OR comparable position.
Must possess relevant professional qualifications. Must be affiliated to a relevant professional body. Must be Computer Literate.
Be of the highest ethical standards, integrity and professionalism and comply with the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution as well as submit clearance certificates/documents from the following state organs:

Must possess Masters Degree (Accounting/Finance) from an accredited and recognized university plus CPA (K) OR equivalent.
Must have at least five (5) years’ experience at Grade 14 OR any other relevant comparable position.

Requirements
Must possess PhD in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship from an accredited and recognized university.
Must have at least three (3) years of teaching and research at University as a Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow/.
Must have a minimum of forty eight (48) publication points as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least thirty two (32) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Must have successfully supervised a minimum of four (4) post-graduate students to completion including at least one doctoral student since last promotion to Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow.
Should have demonstrated academic leadership appropriate to this level. Must have proven ability to attract research funds.
Must be actively affiliated to an appropriate professional body.Job Summary
