We do this by providing technical expertise and knowledge of relevant comparative experiences in transitional justice from across the globe.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Financial and Administration manager will be as seasoned finance professional with concise attention to detail and the ability to work in an intensive and face paced work environment in Nairobi, Kenya. The position will initially be contracted for 3 months with the possibility of an extension. Contract details will be discussed with short-listed candidates only. This position will report directly to the Head of Office ICTJ-Kenya.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:**
· Oversee all office accounting and maintain tight fiscal control of all transactions
· Develop annual and monthly operational budgets, follow up on financial transactions and finalize monthly financial reports
· Prepare expense reports, record and reconcile all payments and receipts and prepare financial receipts.
· Prepare for funds and request for refunds
· Oversee all administrative and financial aspects of ICTJ in collaboration with the Head of Office and the Human Resource Department in New York
· Liaise regularly with ICTJ New York regarding policies, administrative and financial issues
· Oversee the maintenance and/or purchase of office and IT equipment and oversee the logistical requirements of ICTJ Kenya team
· Conduct periodic travels in support of ICTJ country and thematic programs; and perform other duties as necessary and as requested
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Commerce
· Part of full Certified Public Accountants CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
· Qualification in Human Resource Management, desirable
Experience:
· Computer literate; proficient in MS Office Applications and Pastel
· Minimum of five years relevant work experience including experience in budget oversight for programs and grants from varied Embassies, foundations or other donors
· Basic knowledge of project management
· Strong background in working with civil society organizations
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to work with a wide range of international partners
· Flexible and committed to teamwork
