BACKGROUND
International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a U.S. based international development consulting company established in 1987, has worked in over eighty-five countries and has implemented over one hundred and fifty projects. IBTCI has served governments, private sector companies and several donor agencies in the practice area of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) across many sectors including education, health, economic growth and democracy & governance.
The Somalia Program Support Services (SPSS) covers a period of five years, from 2014-2019. The primary goal of SPSS is to provide ongoing monitoring, verification and evaluation support to the USAID/Kenya & East Africa/Somalia Office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Formatting and editing of documents
- Logistics and project administration
- Online and paper file management
- Scanning and copying of documents
- Assisting with coordinating travel and schedules
- Assisting staff with clerical functions (ie. setting up printers and computer troubleshooting)
- Assist with the maintenance of office supplies
Qualifications:
- College senior or Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs, Economics, Business, English or other relevant area.
- Six months of work experience.
- Excellent writing, research and organizational ability.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strict attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Prior work experience in International Development is a plus
Duration:
- The duration of this internship would be for 3-4 months with the option of extension.
Stipend:
- To be determined based on experience.
