Purpose of the job
To provide efficient logistics support to the Field Office.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- To make logistical arrangements for seminars and workshops such as transportation, travel, accommodation, meals, visas etc. To make travel arrangements for Oxfam Novib staff, including HQ staff, consultants and other visitors to the Field Office;
- To arrange the procurement process according to the procurement procedures, after consultation and approval by the relevant budget holder;
- To initiate new ideas and methods for the improvements of the logistics system;
- To maintain a Fixed Assets register for the Field Office;
- To provide general office administrative support such as photocopies, packing materials. To carry out messenger duties and errands for the benefit of the entire office;
- To perform any other relevant duties as at the request of the line manager.
In the absence of an HR officer:
- To carry out support duties for international staff, like following up on the work permit requests for expats, in close collaboration with the Field Office’s lawyer. Tracking of shipment or airfreight of luggage of expat staff and maintaining contacts with relevant stakeholders, like movers, import authorities etc.

· All visitors of the Field Office

· If applicable (see 7 above): lawyer, immigration officers, import authorities, movers
Required knowledge
Work and educational level: Undergraduate in Purchasing or Logistics management and or related field Professional courses is an added advantage (CPA or others)
Required working experience: none
