Reporting to the Director Business Development, the Sales Manager will have an overall mandate to drive sales growth and meet targets agreed upon by senior management for bookings, for the East African region.
Ramani provides solutions and services in the areas of Aerial photography & LiDAR, Land Survey, GIS, Mapping and City Imagery. The Sales Manager would identify and track significant opportunities, monitoring the sales pipeline on a weekly basis, and providing reports to the Director BD.
The Sales Manager would personally be responsible for an agreed upon quota, and management of strategic accounts would also be a key facet of the role.
The Sales Manager will ensure collaboration for strategic client sales opportunities vis-à-vis demonstrations, proposal development, short-list presentations, and final budget estimation.
Job Description
- Responsibility for sales targets for EA solutions in our complete suite of products and services including land survey, Air operations, Data Management and City Imagery.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Program Management teams to ensure aligned approach to potential strategic clients
- Prepare and submit periodic sales reports, pipeline status, and forecasts, as required by the Director Business Development.
- Regularly meet and correspond with strategic accounts.
- Support business development and program management teams in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities

- 5+ years of IT / GIS enterprise sales experience. Mapping sales experience is an asset
- 3+ years of Corporate management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Geospatial related field, business, civil engineering or a related field.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
- A genuine, confident, and assuring presence before colleagues and customers.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Pro-active, results and goal oriented approach
- Ability to travel
- Experience using a pipeline / sales management tool, such as Salesforce.com
