Scholarship Teachers

BACKGROUND
Windle Trust Kenya (WTK), a member of Windle Trust International Federation, is a non-profit organization with a mission to transform society through education and training. We are working with communities in Dadaab District, Fafi, Wajir South, Turkana West, Dadaab Refugee Camps and Kakuma Refugee Camp on education projects.
Windle Trust Kenya wishes to recruit for the position of two scholarship teachers, one will be based in Dadaab Refugee Camp and the other will be based in Kakuma Refugee Camp.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Scholarship Teacher will be in charge of implementation of WTK’s education scholarship programmes in schools where the WTK sponsored students are. The key responsibilities are:
• Coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of scholarship programme in collaboration with education staff and partners
• Provision of adequate and timely technical guidance and supervision to the students
• Promote community self-management in relation to supporting the scholarship programmes
QUALIFICATIONS
• A degree in education with at least 2 years of proven experience in effective and efficient management of Kenyan education with high quality outputs
• Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate staff and students to perform maximally
• A good team player
• Proven knowledge of Kenya Education system
• Good writing skills
• Good computer skills (MS OFFICE – Ms Word, Ms Excel and Ms PowerPoint)
