    1. Consultancy for Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) Assessment , Turkana West District
    The consultant will also be required to submit:

    2. HRIS Officer (Nairobi)
    This position requires solid organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong proficiency in at least one HR or payroll system and in MS Office, especially Excel, is required.
    The position will work under the direction and supervision of the HRIS Compensation & Benefits Analyst, also based in Nairobi.
    Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second line support to country program HR users of Workday, using the ServiceNow service management system, to the agreed service levels and turnaround times
  • Escalate support issues to other designated HRIS team members, for specialized resolution and quality assurance
  • Manage Workday account creation for country program users, taking security structures and data access into account, and ensure that HRIS procedures are being followed in providing access to Workday
  • Provide timely, concise, clear and helpful updates to Workday users on the status of their requests
  • Perform routine scheduled audits of data, access permissions, reports usage, transaction volumes, incomplete processes and transactions, and other required indicators, and record the audit information comprehensively in a dashboard report accessed by senior stakeholders (sustainability dashboard)
  • Ensure that Workday data is being used by country program HR teams to drive their payroll cycles, and compare Workday data with payroll data to measure adherence

    3. Supply chain Officer-Procurement
    Job Purpose/Objective
    To provide all necessary Supply chain supports to the field project activities in Kakuma field office and proceed with maximum efficiency while adhering to IRC’s Supply chain procedures.
    Administrative Roles:
  • To deputize the supply chain manager in his absence and ensure there is continuity of entire supply chain activities in support of the program

    4. Safe Programming (Protection) Officer
    Key Responsibilities
    Program Management
  • Provide leadership in protection mainstreaming in the camp, both for IRC and participating agencies
  • Provide ongoing leadership, training, and guidance to staff (including refugee incentive staff) to ensure programming meets best practice standards and prioritizes the needs of beneficiaries.
  • Actively participate in the designing of Safe programming assessments including conducting of the assessment, data analysis and report writing.
  • Undertake development and implementation of work plans emanating from findings of the safe programming assessments.
  • Actively participate in coordination of protection advisory committee meetings and events Ensure representation of protection mainstreaming in key forums such as coordination meetings in the camp as an opportunity to advocate for protection principles.

  • Design and implement staff training plans for national team members and refugee incentive staff in the camp for both IRC and other participating agencies.
  • Oversee/ conduct trainings on safe programming for community leaders and service providers

    Under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager, the Medical Officer will offer quality health care to all patients in the hospital and work closely with other staff in all departments providing support and guidance

  • Ensure adequate night coverage by developing a call list on a weekly basis with other Medical Officers

    8. HAK’s AGM/Board Training/Strategic Planning Consultancy
    Purpose of Strategic Planning Consultancy
    The consultancy will lead to the development of a Strategic Plan that will revisit the vision, mission and goals of HAK and help to determine and articulate the future direction of the organization. Consultancy will support the organization to establish realistic goals and objectives with a defined time frame; and assist with the development of an action plan to achieve these goals and objectives.
    The Strategic Planning Process will support HAK to achieve the following:

    9. Monitoring and Evaluation Manager_ENSURE
    The ENSURE Project is a DFID-funded nutrition consortium comprised of Save the Children, Islamic Relief Kenya, World Vision Kenya and International Rescue Committee implementing high impact nutrition activities in Turkana, Wajir and Mandera counties.
    Key Responsibilities
    Program Inputs :
  • Provide overall M&E technical guidance on development of appropriate, comprehensive and coherent monitoring and evaluation systems for the Project.
  • Provide input, review and when necessary develop proposal M&E plans and logical frameworks, designing innovative and comprehensive strategies that will ensure program quality and impact, setting realistic and measurable targets and reflecting IRC’s program framework principles.
  • In close coordination with technical units and field staff, oversee the planning, design, implementation, analysis and dissemination of findings of surveys, evaluations and assessments for new and ongoing programs. When necessary, prepare TORs for external survey or evaluation consultants.
  • Review existing grant monitoring tools as well as existing data management systems to identify areas for improvement and additional needs.
  • Introduce and utilize appropriate M&E tools, including innovative and diverse techniques, including participatory, qualitative and quantitativeCapacity Building
  • Coordinate and conduct capacity building for field and Nairobi-based program staff, as well as partner organizations where appropriate, on monitoring and evaluation to build the knowledge and implementation of M&E activities throughout project. Relevant trainings may include basic concepts, qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, analysis and use of M&E data.
  • Conduct frequent visits to all field sites to provide regular trainings, technical assistance and support and to ensure that M&E is being implemented effectively by staff.
  • Act as the focal point for the Project’s M&E activities, liaise with NGO counterparts in appropriate forums/workshops to share lessons learned and further develop a knowledge base for the projectKey Result Areas:
    The position is expected to:
  • Lead in the development of tracking system and monitoring indicators for the DFID-funded Nutrition project as well as training of project and partner staff on M&E tools and plans.
  • Work with the technical coordinators of partner organizations and the Project Manager to ensure that project activities are implemented in accordance with the work plan agreed on with the donor
  • In collaboration with the technical coordinators of partner agencies, lead the documentation and dissemination of the Project’s lessons learnt and best practicesRequired Qualifications:
  • Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Biostatistics or related field.
  • Special professional training in M&E will be an added advantageRequired Experience & Competencies:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the fields of multi-sectoral monitoring & evaluation, management information system and performance follow-up and other related area of service within donor funded projects.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodology and data analysis including conceptual frameworks and logic models.
  • Demonstrated experience training and mentoring less experienced staff in M&E.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in developing plans and schedules from inception.
  • Work experience in related fields in NGOs and/or on DFID-funded projects is a plus
