Quality and Risk Management Associate Advisor

Risk Management Unit has vacancy for a Quality and Risk Management Associate Advisor. The purpose of the position is to provide risk management services and promote adherence to KPMG policy and professional Standards within the firm.

1. Reviewing engagement contracts including advising on requested modifications to firm’s standard contracts;
2. Evaluations, recording and management of potential conflicts of interest, ethics and independence issues;
3. Conducting risk management trainings to firm’s employees and keeping them updated on development in risk management policies, processes and procedures;
4. Assist with the development and implementation of the firm's risk management policies, processes and procedures;
5. Respond to queries raised by staff in a timely manner;
6. Respond to requests for access by third parties to firm’s working papers and reports;
7. Advise on and monitor compliance with various laws and regulation by the firm, its people and clients;
8. Assist with carrying out internal risk management compliance reviews and preparing reports to management; and
9. Reporting to quality and risk manager on the above and other risk management assignments. 

Desired Skills and Experience

1. An LLB degree;
2. Certified public accountant Kenya( CPAK)/ ACCA will be an added advantage; and
3. Minimum of 2.5 years working experience in a legal department specializing on work related to Commercial Law.
