KPMG’s Risk Consulting Information Technology Advisory (ITA) is a unique discipline within KPMG that provides solutions that promote the efficient and secure use of information resources. ITA advises clients on managing risks from the use of IT and assists them in designing and implementing good controls and security over their business processes, thus promoting the efficient and secure use of information resources.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Management - RC, the Senior Consultant will:
- Analyse client overall strategies and business plans to establish impact on the IT environment
- Assess client IT environments with regard to current state versus envisioned state (as required by the business/industry and best practise)
- Benchmark IT environments against generally accepted benchmark frameworks
- Develop IT architecture framework taking into account all critical pillars
- Prioritize IT investments and estimation of IT project costs
- Proposal writing and business development activities
- Communicate, coordinate, general project management and status reporting
- Train clients and taskforces in the effective use of management systems, tools, techniques, and group problem-solving.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university (preference for IT line of study)
- Qualifications in relevant certifications such as ITIL and TOGAF
- Three or more years of experience related to either IT strategy, IT operations and governance, IT architecture, or IT infrastructure and service management, at a reputable organization
- Exposure to IT applications that business processes (front office, core operations and back office), and impact of data and / or information flow across the organization and its IT applications
- Experience/knowledge of relevant benchmarking parameter e.g. CMMI
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, excellent report writing skills, as well as strong communication and general project management skills
- Experience with large-scale IT transformations
- Understanding of service oriented architecture and its impact on IT architecting and integration of systems.
