Carolina for Kibera (CFK) is a Non-governmental organization based in Kibera. CFK has expanded its programming to promote youth leadership, ethnic and gender cooperation, women empowerment, education, and health services. CFK has the following vacancy in its Finance Department.
Job Title: Finance and Administration Officer
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager, Carolina for Kibera

Essential Job Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
• Work directly with the Finance and Administration Manager to complete monthly financial reporting deliverable accurately and on time;
• Oversee maintenance of filing systems to ensure adequate documentation of all financial processes;
• Oversee the maintenance of the Quick Books Accounting System ensuring that accounting transactions are posted correctly and timely and that data is posted and backed up on a daily basis;
• Ensure that all CFK financial transactions are promptly recorded in the accounting system
• Prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations for all CFK cash and bank accounts for all of CFK programs and ensure that these are properly reviewed, authorized and submitted;
• Review all financial documentation including Payment Vouchers, Petty Cash Vouchers, Journal Vouchers, EFT Vouchers and Payroll Vouchers;
• Support the Finance and Administration Manager to ensure preparation for External and Internal Audits and to provide financial information to External Auditors;
• Maintain the Fixed Asset register and submit to the Finance and Administration Manager for review.
• Carry out administrative duties as assigned from time to time by the Finance and Administration Manager
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance & Administration Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
• BA Admin/B Com
• Minimum CPA 2
• 3 years of progressive working experience in similar environment.
• Adequate exposure to MS Office and Quick books.
