The Programme Officer will be responsible for managing reporting and information requirements for WV Sudan’s major projects. The job holder will take primary responsibility for ensuring timely and effective reporting to WVS’s institutional donors and other key partners. The job holder will also be responsible for effective management of grant-related documentation and project monitoring databases. The position will involve regular travel to Sudan (Khartoum and Darfur).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Coordinate with Sudan-based colleagues to ensure the provision of timely high quality narrative reports and related requirements for institutional donors, WV Support Offices and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate information and documentation on all current grants.
• Support in-country M&E functions through development/coordination of relevant monitoring databases and support to assessment and evaluation processes.
• Support the Programme Development Manager in grant proposal writing.
• Undertake data analysis to support the development of new proposals, programme strategies, the annual Child Well-being report and other processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
• Degree in development studies or related field
• 3 years of experience in the development field working with humanitarian emergency interventions, preferably with experience in developing countries
• Experience (and, where applicable, training) in working with key institutional donors (e.g. OFDA, ECHO, DFID, Global Fund)
• Experience working with both bilateral and multilateral donors
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation in the humanitarian or development context
• Experience in data management and analysis
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• The position requires ability and willingness to travel up to four trips to Sudan per year are anticipated.
