Company Description
The Story:
In August 1982, Kenblest Ltd and bakery was commissioned with the objective to manufacture good quality, affordable bread that would be available to every member of the public and especially to cater for the rural public which constitutes the majority of the Kenyan population.
Kenblest’s Directors were sent to the UK and Switzerland to study, returning with experience to share within the Kenyan business community. Forward thinking business practices, for the time, were put into place and provided the knowledge of how to deal and interact with the local population of Kenya, the company quickly grew becoming a dominant player in the baking industry.
After the bakery was set up and running the Directors put up a wheat mill under the name of McNeel Millers Limited to sell flour to its sister company Kenblest Limited and also to sell flour into the local market under the brand name “ Two Ten”. The company was very successful, especially in the local market and is currently undergoing an expansion of capacity so as to meet the growing demand.
Values, history and team work are important to the business, we wish to engage with people who hold a vision of the future with an appreciation for positive and hard work.
We have started the period of change and wish for the right people to see the Kenblest of tomorrow and join us on this fantastic opportunity.
As we look to the future we are now beginning a journey to modernize infrastructure, products, branding, marketing, distribution and the development of a reorganized Senior Management Team. We wish to attract the best people who can bring something unique to the Kenblest brand, developing international standards in its Process, Production, Quality and Volume.
