This internship provides a unique opportunity to meaningfully contribute to AWF’s conservation strategies in sub-Saharan Africa. This opportunity will be based in AWF’s Headquarter offices in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the intern will support the Information Technology department in the deployment and training of staff on different aspects of AWF’s recently launched intranet - SharePoint. Specifically, updating SharePoint site on photos and forms as required as well as the group active directory for migration and help in all data entry. The intern will assist with collation of required information, create data collection forms in SharePoint and maintain data Integrity through established mechanisms. S/he will coordinate departmental trainings in SharePoint, and offer user support on other Microsoft products like office 2010. From time to time, the Intern may be required to perform any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor
The successful candidate will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology
- Have at least 1 year relevant experience consistent with the outlined responsibilities in a busy office
- Have experience with/on SharePoint 2010
- Be a Microsoft Certified Professional on servers
- Have SQL-2008 experience
- Have experience is using MS InfoPath designer 2010.
- Be a team player
- Have high aptitude
- Be flexible, proactive and have an interest in Conservation
