RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership and Management
• Partner with the ED in building understanding of and support for Dignitas Project's model including financial resources for Dignitas Project's engagement
• Networking with regional leaders in philanthropic, public and private sectors, and education communities to build support for and identify best practices to improve Dignitas Project's model
• Develop systems to share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications
• Mentor and coach staff members as a visible, approachable sounding board and resource
• Manage and improve internal systems with an eye toward future program and administration needs as well as budget realities
Program Oversight
• Build and maintain strong school and community partnerships
• Develop a work plan for each program activity including budget, pilot plan, expected outcomes, and M&E operations
• Structure and lead program team to deliver outstanding, high-quality work
• Ensure fidelity of implementation efforts to Dignitas Project's model and theory of change
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred
• Experience and passion for serving marginalized, urban communities
• Track record of success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities
• Minimum of five years of experience in business, education, and/or non-profit operations
• Proven success working in Africa preferred; other relevant international development experience considered
• Experience in project management
• Strong business acumen
