Instructional Coach

Essential Job Functions
• Observe instruction and provide feedback to teachers at school sites to support effective teaching of 8-4-4 curriculum in various subject matters
• Develop tools and resources to support teachers' leadership and delivery of content
• Co-plan lessons and units with teachers
• Facilitate teacher work groups to encourage learning, work analysis, observation, and practice refinement
• Continuously measure, document, reflect upon, and adjust professional learning opportunities
• Develop curriculum and implement sessions to train and equip various school-based leaders
• Engage in their own learning to continuously improve work
• Provide support to other team members to achieve targets for school improvement
• Support monitoring and evaluation systems
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications – Education, Experience, Skills, and Beliefs
• Minimum of five years classroom teaching experience with demonstrated effectiveness in increasing student achievement
• Excellent communication skills, particularly listening skills and high emotional intelligence
• Deep interest in adult learners
• Unyielding belief that all children can learn at high levels
• Superior problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrated track record of leadership and facilitation of adult learning
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and modeling of lessons in subject matter
• Experience in group facilitation and conducting professional development
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with school-based administrators
• Outstanding interpersonal, teamwork, and analytical skills
• Ability to model Dignitas Project's core values: Accountability, Participation, Partnership, Empowerment, Humanity, Equity, and Achievement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Fluent written and spoken English and Kiswahili
