Job Description
Efficiently manage card business for Africa , for its optimal contribution to the individual country profitability.Key Roles & Responsibilities
•Manage end to end service delivery requirements for Credit Cards and Debit Card operations for the region including working with the teams in Technology, products and business to build operational excellence for credit and Debit Card business
•Ensure relevant internal control systems/ related procedures and techniques are developed and implemented for card processing
•Manage the relationship between GSSC spoke countries and card association/Visa/Pesa Point/Mastercard/Union Pay and other acquirers and issuers
•Scrutinise and highlight fraud attempts and fraudulent transactions.
•Ensure staff awareness of the updated visa international rules and regulations and adherence to the same.
•Ensures services provided by Visa Card staff are delivered in accordance with agreed service level standards.
•Manage the relationship between SCB and card schemes vendors and ensure the contractual obligation of each parties are met.
•Liaise with GSSC Chennai to ensure that all Credit Cards related processes that interphase with their team are delivered within agreed timeliness and agreed quality.
•Monitors performance against standards and provides feedback to staff and spokes/businesses
•Follow up Visa card issues with VISA, Acquirer banks and other banks.
•Embed agreed Africa Credit Card and Pins process flows
•Act /liaison with GSSC Chennai undertaking part of Credit Card ops
•Plans and reviews staffing requirements to match workflow of card services business in each country
•Ensure that the Group standards are adhered to as regards Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer and report any suspicious transactions.
•Ensure Compliance with risk Management policy is adhered to as regards Visa Card Services and Operations
•Develop Debit/Credit Card Services Strategies for Africa
•Ensure end to end financial control of all elements relating to card operations – i.e settlement, chargebacks , repayment ,recoveries etc
Qualifications & Skills
•Graduate in relevant degree and working experience in Banking or card issuance companies
•Detailed knowledge of Card products.
•Detailed knowledge of Visa/Mastercard/Pesapoint and Union pay rules, regulations and operations
•Working knowledge of Bank’s I.T. System and Computer Literacy.
•Risk Management
•Excellent Communication skills.
