Vacancy: Manager for Strategic Partnerships - East AfricaLutheran World Relief (LWR) is a US non-governmental that works with local partners in Africa, Latin America, and Asia to provide lasting solutions to poverty, injustice and human suffering.
LWR is seeking to recruit a qualified person for the Manager for Strategic Partnerships position based in LWR East Africa Regional Office in Nairobi.
Primary duties are to develop partner networks and strategic partnerships to increase the scale and impact of LWR’s work, focusing on corporate, foundation, government, bilateral and multilateral organizations in priority countries in the region of assignment, and to contribute to the development of high quality proposals related to these partnership opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
A graduate degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a field relevant to international development.
Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in international development with a track record in new business development, and 3-5 years of experience working in East Africa.
Demonstrated ability to produce US government and foundation grant proposals, to successfully solicit grant funding, and to manage relationships with institutional funders.
