Distribution and NFI Project Manager

ROLE, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager is responsible for the accurate realisation of all assigned NFIs project activities and their relative economic and financial administration, and to:
  • Develop relations, confined to project activities, with competent donors and institutions; operate following guidelines from the Head of Mission; and contribute to the definition of Intersos strategies and the elaboration of new projects.
  • Assume responsibility for the management and economic and financial administration of the assigned project and for its entire implementation process, and to ensure the achievement of its objectives and results.
  • Manage human resources within the project and carry out performance appraisals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· University degree in a relevant field such as international development, emergency relief, logistics, and/or project management;
· At least 2 years of project management experience in humanitarian/development contexts (Africa preferable) implementing NFI / distribution activities;
· Field experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts;
· Experience in and ability to network and build beneficial professional relationships with donor and partner organizations;
· Project proposal development experience (UNICEF, ECHO, CHF);
· Computer literacy: MS Office; knowledge of GIS software is desirable;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Language: Fluent written and spoken French;
· Strong networking and HR management skills;
· Sensitive to cultural context.
