ROLE, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager is responsible for the accurate realisation of all assigned NFIs project activities and their relative economic and financial administration, and to:
- Develop relations, confined to project activities, with competent donors and institutions; operate following guidelines from the Head of Mission; and contribute to the definition of Intersos strategies and the elaboration of new projects.
- Assume responsibility for the management and economic and financial administration of the assigned project and for its entire implementation process, and to ensure the achievement of its objectives and results.
- Manage human resources within the project and carry out performance appraisals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· University degree in a relevant field such as international development, emergency relief, logistics, and/or project management;
· At least 2 years of project management experience in humanitarian/development contexts (Africa preferable) implementing NFI / distribution activities;
· Field experience in conflict/post-conflict contexts;
· Experience in and ability to network and build beneficial professional relationships with donor and partner organizations;
· Project proposal development experience (UNICEF, ECHO, CHF);
· Computer literacy: MS Office; knowledge of GIS software is desirable;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Language: Fluent written and spoken French;
· Strong networking and HR management skills;
· Sensitive to cultural context.
