Summary of Position
IREX seeks Program Coordinator for its Education Programs Division to provide support to a USAID Pan-African Youth Program.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the program team on overall program administration including providing logistical support to program participants and staff;
- Support logistics and planning of large-scale events;
- Create, maintain, and update information and records of program participants;
- Track a wide range of information and data, maintaining accuracy and completeness;
- Ensure compliance with organization and donor regulations;
- General finance and administrative tasks; and
- Other duties as assigned that contribute to the overall success of the project.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience with, and interest in, youth development programs;
· Knowledge of and experience with project design, grant management, and budgeting;
· Advanced proficiency in a relevant regional language including but not limited to French or Portuguese preferred;
· Strong organization skills;
· Strong communication skills including in writing and editing;
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment;
· Ability to work in a team environment;
· Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills;
· Experience working on USAID projects preferred;
· Excellent ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines;
· Excellent attention to detail; and
· Excellent computer skills, including Excel, and comfort with social media tools.
