    Role Summary / Purpose:
    Responsible for providing the formal technical and clinical support during the sales process within in a limited geographic region or limited industry/product segment.
    Responsibilities may include providing the required pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support) as well as post-sale installation, training and/or customer service activities to support sales objectives for their geography
    Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed.
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver product training to customers on software, application and/or equipment use, monitor customer installations within assigned territory/region to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customer.
  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and promotion as well as customer training.
  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies.
  • Produce well-written post-training reports and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.If also taking on team leadership role responsibilities also include:
  • Facilitate team communication and the sharing of best practices.
  • Assist with the assimilation of new hires into the organization.
  • Act as a mentor to field team, providing clinical, technical and professional guidance as necessary to improve the customer experience.
  • Communicate with Sales and Application Leaders to align applications activities with sales needs and business objectives.
  • Communicate with local Applications Specialists and Account Managers to ensure all customer and business needs are met.
  • Energize team and maintain adherence of field processesQualifications / Requirements
  • Required active professional clinical/technical certifications/registries necessary to scan live patients in a clinical setting (i.e., For Ultrasound: RDMS registry - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, RDCS registry - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RCS registry - Registered Cardiac Sonographer).
  • Demonstrated current basic clinical scanning proficiencies on current products/platforms (i.e., For Ultrasound: Skilled in 2D, Doppler and color flow imaging).
  • At least one of the following core experiences: Minimum of 5 years clinical/ technical experience following certification with demonstrated clinical/technical skill in specific areas (i.e., for Ultrasound - General Imaging, Vascular, Ob/Gyn, Cardiology Sonography) or at least 3 years commercial applications/modality experience with demonstrated successes in high level customer interactions and sales scenarios.
  • Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays and weekend travel depending on geography and business needs as well as to nationwide sales meetings and tradeshowsDesired Characteristics
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related business or technical/clinical field.
  • Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers).
  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process).
  • Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time.

  • Clinical experience in large hospital/university setting preferred.
  • Advanced certification/registries desired.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated clinical scanning skills in specific modality (for Ultrasound: Skilled in vascular sonography, pediatric cardiac echo & TEE desired).

    Role Summary / Purpose:
    Provide technical support and counsel to field technicians and customers experiencing system performance issues.
    It is the technical resource for all service-related questions about the product or product family.
    Essential Responsibilities
  • Providing remote and on-site technical support.
  • Utilization of the GE Healthcare escalation process as needed, working closely with Local Customer and national support to define and support implementation of corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Driving Material and Purchased Service cost improvement initiatives for the modality, and working closely with Director of Service and Zone Operations manager to help achieve Material OP.
  • Coaching and training for Field Service Engineers to insure that technical and customer skills are up to date and meet the needs of the business.
  • Project leadership in areas such as product serviceability and reliability, quality trend analysis, productivity program development and implementation, national modality program execution and new product introduction supportQuality Specific Goals:
  • Aware of and comply with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
  • Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
  • Ensure timely dispatch closure.
  • Ensure completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI’s) within prescribed timeframe.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.Qualifications / Requirements
    Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of technical service experience or equivalent (defined as Higher National Diploma and 6 years progressive experience in technical support.
  • Accessible “after hours” and weekends for critical issues and coverage as necessary.Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of troubleshooting GE diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Previous problem solving experience

  • Knowledge of modality applications
  • Strong communication and team work skills; proven ability to lead teams
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills Self-starter
