This is a rare local leadership opportunity with an international start-up organisation that will sit at the forefront of change across the humanitarian sector.
As our dynamic Director in Kenya, you will steer the Academy Centre in Kenya through its initial set-up phase and then lead on its growth through out Kenya and East African.
The Academy is a new global start up organisation whose mission is to empower people around the world to prepare for and respond to crises in their own countries. The Academy Centre in Kenya will work with organisations from across the not-for-profit, public, private sector and universities to help local communities across Kenya and the wider region become more resilient in the face of disaster. This will be achieved by promoting and developing existing and new humanitarian response focussed learning and development opportunities.
This pivotal post will ensure the local strategic direction, effective operations and financial health of the venture in Kenya, spearheading collaborative partnerships and growing innovation through all of the Academy’s activities. The Director will work independently to shape the Academy Centre in Kenya's own unique direction and strategy with support and guidance from the Academy Global CEO setting clear goals and being fully responsible for making these challenging goals a reality.

We're looking for a decisive, collaborative and highly charismatic figurehead who has experience in heading up a start-up initiative of this size. Someone who leads by example, communicates persuasively and constantly operates with integrity.
