****VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT****
Living Water International exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “water for life in Jesus’ name” – the gospel of Jesus Christ – which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Living Water is providing safe drinking water, Christian Witness, sanitation and health education to communities across Africa.
A vacancy exists in Living Water Africa Region for the ****Program Officer.****The successful candidate will support the Director for Strategy and Fund Raising and effectively engage and manage partners for the regional office.
Key responsibilities
  • Maintain a database of all LWAR donors
  • Assist in writing grant proposals and concepts for fundraising initiatives
  • Preparation of Preliminary letters of Inquiry for support
  • Support in the preparation of donor reports
  • Identify possible donors for different countries in Africa and maintain a data base for the same
  • Support in the development of a partnership strategy to be in line with the LWAR goals and objectives
  • Support the Director to streamline and strengthen LWAR key partners
  • Support Country Offices in relation to fund raising
  • Provide Administrative support for all donor meetings
  • Attend devotional meetings and other team activities when required.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Degree in Project Management, or any other relevant social sciences.
  • A strong command of English language with excellent communication (verbal/writing) and research skills
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience donor/program involvement with proven record working with donors
  • Knowledge of and working experience with Ms Word and Excel systems.
  • Proven skills in managing multiple roles and tasks simultaneously and ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Attention to detail; Willing to work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able and willing to travel to international locations that at times may have limited amenities.
