Human Resources & Administration Manager
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent be responsible for setting up and running the Human Resource and Administration function.

You will also take lead in recruitment, reward, employee relations, performance management, training and development with the overall effect of having a motivated workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Develop HR management policies and procedures, roll them out and continually update them as necessary and monitor all HR activities and practices to ensure compliance.
- Develop, and continually review, comprehensive interview procedures and manage recruitment in an effective manner that ensures that quality candidates are brought on board.
- Maintain personnel records and systems for the company ensuring that they are kept up to date.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive induction and orientation programmes for all new staff.
- Develop a performance management system that promotes a performance culture and is linked to staff training and development
- Develop training and development programmes and succession plans that address the current and future skills of the organisation and staff.
- Develop and regularly review and update succession plans that ensure the continuous availability of internal candidates, to fill vacancies within the supervisory and management levels.
- Take charge of employee relations including: handling disciplinary and termination procedures; managing staff grievances; and training the managers and supervisors on the process.
- Take charge of the administration of leave, the pension scheme, medical benefits and any related programmes such as employee safety and HIV/AIDs in the workplace and all other welfare issues affecting staff.
- Continually review pay and reward structures that are in place within the organisation so as to ensure that these remain competitive.
- Put in place effective communication systems and channels that promote the timely flow of information between and among managers, supervisors and staff.
- Take charge of office administration duties including: office and property management and the supervision of support staff and cleaning contractors.
Requirements
- A business degree from a recognised university, a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management from a professional body, and valid membership of a professional human resource institution.
- 5 years experience in human resource management in a multi-cultural environment that promotes employee diversity.
- Experience of HR policy and systems development and implementation.
- Sound knowledge of labour laws
- Experience in the management of staff welfare, administration of staff compensation and benefits.
- Experience of in staff recruitment including international recruitment, performance management, training & development and succession planning.
- Strong planning, coordination, influencing skills and decision making capabilities.
