They operate through Distributors in Kenya and East African region and expand their market share continuously with commitment to quality and the infinite loyalty of their customers.
Job Objectives
The Ideal candidate will be the custodian of Quality Assurance in the organization and be responsible for managing Quality Systems ISO, Food Safety, HACCP and other applicable certifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing the quality controllers and ensuring quality is assured
- Development of quality checks and controls in the organization
- Drive the implementation of quality systems in the organization
- Liaison with the standards bodies i.e. KEBS in the certification of new products and renewals of applicable product licenses
- Drive risk assessment, safety assessment and gap audits in the organization to continuous improvement in quality standards
- Drive raw materials incoming competition to assure quality of raw materials
- Drive the Quality Trust culture change within Highlands
- Control costs within the quality department and handle consumer complaints
- Liaising with sales and distribution on quality issues in trade
Experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ of relevant experience
- Experience in FMCG industry
- Worked in Quality Assurance and Business Quality Systems
- Experience in Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Systems Coordinator
Skills And Certification:
- Minimum of a Bsc in Food Science & Technology or Bsc in Chemistry / Biochemistry
- Lead Auditor certification
- Capable to analyze technical and legal requirements and apply them
- Sensory skills and chemical analysis skills
- Exposure in research and development will be an added advantage
- Quality systems auditing skills is a must
- Ability to lead a team and be part of a team
- Possessing a valid driving license is necessary
