Vacancy: Managing Director - Amatsi Water Services Company Limited
Amatsi Water Services Company is a water company wholly owned by the County Government of Vihiga established to provide water services in Vihiga County.
The Board of Directors of the Company wish to fill the vacant position of the Managing Director (MD).
The position requires a result oriented and self-driven professional, who will provide leadership and strategic direction in order to ensure the company delivers on its mandate to the satisfaction of all its stakeholders.
Terms of service: 3 year contract, (renewable)
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide overall leadership and administration of operations of the company under the guidance of the board
2. Developing short term corporate strategies for Board approval and implementation as stipulated in the company’s strategic plan
3. Managing internal multi-disciplinary teams and external parties to ensure agreed corporate objectives are achieved
4. Ensuring compliance with applicable statutory, legal and regulatory requirements and establishing mitigation measures against emerging business risks
5. Promoting the company’s image and developing good working relationships with all stakeholders and other partners while promoting the principles of good governance in the company
6. Advising the Board of directors on operations, investment planning and sustainable development of company interests
Requirements for Appointment:

First degree in Engineering (preferably civil) with five (5) years working experience, two (2) of which should have been at Senior Management level OR in possession of a Higher National Diploma (water engineering) with at least 10 years’ experience five (5) of which should be at Senior Management level.

Have demonstrated ability to manage water and sanitation utilities with sound innovation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team player

Conversant with Public Procurement and Disposal regulations 2006

Must be familiar with Water Sector Management and donor funded projects and demonstrated good financial management

Demonstrated leadership qualities and proven experience in organizational change management.

Computer literate and fulfill Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya by attaching the following compliance documents: HELB; KRA; Good Conduct; Credit Reference Bureau & Ethics And Anti-Corruption Commission Certificate.Physical applications to be posted to, or dropped at the County Public Service Board offices at the County Head Quarters on or before the 29th October, 2014.
