FSDA is a new regional programme that promotes financial sector development across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Its goal is to create a transformative impact on the reduction of poverty by supporting efforts to improve financial inclusion and by helping financial institutions and markets to drive economic growth.
The Director of Knowledge and Evidence will assume a wide range of responsibilities within the FSDA leadership team, overseeing the production of new research, supporting a wide range of knowledge-sharing activities across Africa and internationally, building market capacity to access and use information to spur both commercial innovation and policy change, and bringing rigour to the way financial sector programmes measure impact.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of the research trends and players across the SSA financial sector development landscape. They must be highly strategic, commercially minded and an experienced manager able to lead a lean team and influence relevant stakeholders. They must be capable of developing and managing a strategic multi-country research programme and ideally, will bring experience of working with one of the global players in financial sector development research.
