Ability to install Netbackup Master and Media Servers on OS Platforms and upgrade. NetBackup in HA mode.
Ability to configure storage units, tape drives. Ability to create Policies, Volume
Pools etc.,Needs to know how to configure LAN free backups such as backup over SAN & NAS,Device DB corruption, reconfigure of Media Servers hardware & storage units. Ability to troubleshoot network related backup issues and performance of backups
Knowledge of Veritas scripts and ability to write and understand Shell scripts which exist
Configure DB Agents: DB2, Oracle, SQL, Exhange
On Unix - Ability to edit device files required to install storage units and drives, ability to troubleshoot network related issues like (nslookup and reverse lookup), ability to check gateways and how to re-start services, etc,solution, Disk/Tape Device Configuration, Veritas Cluster Server, Volume Manager and Filesystem Configuration
Troubleshoot Database Backup Issues, find RCA on the failures, collaborate with other Technical Service Lines for Issue resolution/identification
Experienced on Disk Based Backup Technologies, VTL, Deduplication, Snapshots, NDMP, Vmware based VADP Backups
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years experience in Veritas Netbackup
- At least 4 years experience in Business Controls, time management and ability to multi task
- English: Fluent
